Two ways to begin. One healthier feeding journey.

Raw feeding focuses on providing fresh, minimally processed animal-based nutrition.
Provides essential amino acids to support muscle maintenance and everyday vitality.
Fresh raw meals contain moisture that contributes to your pet's daily hydration.
Essential fats and nutrients help maintain healthy skin and a shiny coat.
Highly digestible ingredients may support comfortable digestion and well-formed stools.
Animal ingredients provide important nutrients that support normal body functions.
Real ingredients with no unnecessary fillers, artificial colours, or flavours.
Benefits vary by individual pet and depend on the nutritional adequacy of the recipe. Raw food also requires careful handling to reduce bacterial risks.
Switching your pet's diet too quickly may cause digestive discomfort, loose stools, or food refusal.
A gradual transition allows your pet to become familiar with the new taste, texture, and ingredients while giving you time to monitor their response.
Important: If your cat currently eats only dry food, we recommend introducing wet food for approximately 3–5 days before starting the raw transition.

FOR HANDS-ON PET OWNERS
Purchase Pure Gene Chicken Raw Meals and gradually introduce raw food by mixing it with your pet's existing wet food.
Follow our transition guide at your pet's own pace.
FOR A SIMPLER, PRE-PORTIONED START
Take the guesswork out of transitioning with our ready-made Starter Kit.
Includes 42 pre-portioned raw meals for 14 days, with the quantities prepared for each stage.
Simply follow the included guide and mix each portion with the appropriate amount of your pet's existing wet food.
Begin with Pure Gene Chicken Raw Meals. Chicken is our recommended starting protein because it provides a consistent base while your pet becomes familiar with raw food.
The following example assumes your pet's total meal is 100 g. Replace part of the wet food with raw food at each stage, maintaining the same total meal quantity.

Stage 1 of 7
Example: 100 g total meal
Raw: 7 g
Wet: 93 g
How to follow the plan: Start with Phase 1 and gradually increase the raw portion once your pet is comfortably accepting the current mixture. Mix thoroughly, monitor appetite and stool quality, and do not rush to the next stage.
The transition can take longer than 14 days for some pets. That is completely fine.
Chicken is the recommended first choice.
Blend the raw food with familiar wet food to create a consistent texture.
Only advance once the current stage is accepted.
Thaw in the refrigerator and follow proper food hygiene.
Appetite, stools, and behaviour help you judge how the transition is progressing.
Once your pet is comfortably eating Pure Gene Chicken Raw Meals, you can gradually introduce other proteins such as beef, lamb, duck, camel, or quail.
| Days | New protein | Chicken |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | 25% | 75% |
| 3–4 | 50% | 50% |
| 5–6 | 75% | 25% |
| 7 | 100% | 0% |
Introduce one new protein at a time, and extend the schedule if your pet needs longer to adapt.
Store frozen raw meals immediately after delivery. Thaw the next day's portions overnight in the refrigerator, keep raw food separate from human food, and wash bowls, hands, and preparation surfaces thoroughly after handling.
Follow the storage period printed on the Pure Gene packaging. Do not leave raw meals sitting at room temperature, and discard uneaten portions promptly.
For cats that eat only dry food, Pure Gene recommends first introducing wet food for 3–5 days before starting the gradual raw transition.
The Starter Kit is designed for a 14-day plan, but individual pets may need longer. Do not advance until your pet comfortably accepts the current stage.
We recommend starting with Chicken Raw Meals, then introducing other proteins gradually after your pet has adapted.
Return to the last accepted stage and try a smaller raw portion mixed thoroughly with familiar wet food. Avoid forcing or fasting your pet to make it eat, particularly cats.
Stop increasing the raw portion and contact your veterinarian for advice. Seek prompt veterinary care for repeated vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, blood in the stool, or reduced food intake, especially in kittens.
Not necessarily. Pets with certain health conditions and households with people at higher risk of infection may need to avoid raw diets. Consult your veterinarian before switching.
